The Happiest University in Britain?

According to the Daily Telegraph it's St Mary's University College Belfast. I thought Belfast was in Ireland but then again I did not do geography in secondary school.

Belfast is in Northern Ireland which is one of four countries that make up the United Kingdom. (Northern Ireland has a long history of violence over a struggle by some within it to become independent from Britain.)

The Republic of Ireland is a separate independent country in the south of the same island. The capital is Dublin.

I think Richard was kidding. British sovereignty categories are confusing to an American like me though. Britain, Great Britain, England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, United Kingdom, British Commonwealth, British Isles vs British Islands, British Crown dependencies of the Isle of Mann and the Bailiwicks of Guernsey and Jersey... it is an arcane and rococo system.

Wrong. Britain and Ireland refer to islands, and Belfast, although part of the United Kingdom, is not located in Britain but on Ireland.
