Interesting papers. Perhaps you should consider comment on these facts from the 2010 edition:
QS provides the ranks for 2010 in a column that parallels the 2009 ranks. Well, these ranks are different to those published for 2009 and the former ones are still used in the individual entries.
The end of the tail for 2010 includes about half a dozen Latin American universities that does not appear to be ranked before.
